terms and conditions apply to all transactions
made through Gibbs Home Electronics
Ltd Internet site. Please read them
carefully and print a copy for future
reference.
We will treat each order for goods
as an offer by you to purchase the goods
subject to these terms and conditions.
No amendments to these terms and conditions
will be accepted. These terms and conditions
do not affect your statutory rights
as a consumer.
Products
Many of the products we sell are of
a technical nature and it is not practical
to publish detailed specifications of
all of the products and keep specifications
100% up to date. Please contact us on

for clarification of any precise technical
details.
Ordering, Payment and Pricing
All the prices on the site are in £
sterling and are inclusive of VAT. Payment
can be made by Visa, MasterCard, Switch
and Delta via our in store systems.
At this time, payment is not possible
through the Internet site directly but
please call the store on (02380) 772475
to place the order with one of our sales
staff. All goods remain the property
of Gibbs Home Electronics Ltd until
paid for in full.
In the event a product is listed at
an incorrect price due to a typographical
error or error in pricing information
received from our suppliers, we have
the right to refuse or cancel any orders
placed whether or not the order has
been confirmed and payment charged.
If payment has been charged for the
purchase and your order is cancelled
we will immediately issue a refund.
The website and the products and prices
described on it are subject to change
without notice.
To protect your security and prevent
fraud where possible, we reserve the
right to ask for proof of ID on all
purchases. We have the right to refuse
at our discretion to supply any goods
ordered. Gibbs Home Electronics Ltd
will only deliver to the address of
the cardholder and may ask for proof
of identity on delivery.
Delivery and Connection
Upon receiving confirmation of your
order, we will contact you to arrange
a mutually convenient time to deliver
your equipment. Smaller goods may be
dispatched via a carrier service, please
telephone the store for details. We
will do our best to arrange a time to
suit you and to ensure products are
delivered when we say they will be.
We do not accept liability for failure
to keep to a time for delivery.
Entertainment Products Standard Installation
- We
will install and tune in your new
equipment.
- We
will connect it to your existing equipment
although we will not run wires under
carpets or extend wiring.
- Moulded
plugs will not be removed or replaced.
If you do not require installation
of any products we deliver to you, we
can still dispose of the old appliance
that is being replaced providing it
has been disconnected and left empty
and entire.
Faulty or Damaged Goods
In the unlikely event your order is
received faulty or damaged please contact
us immediately. You must retain the
original packaging for returning your
order. Before calling us please do the
following:

Check that the product is properly
plugged in, the electricity is switched
on at the socket and the plug has
not come loose or fused.

Please read the common problems in
the troubleshooting section of your
owner's handbook and ensure you have
fully followed the manufacturer's
instructions.

your reference number (this can be found
on the top right of your invoice or
delivery note) and the details of the
problem. If your product develops a
fault within its guarantee period, usually
12 months, please follow the above instructions.
Subject to the manufacturer's conditions,
we will ensure your product is repaired
free of charge by Gibbs Home Electronics
Ltd or an authorised UK Service Agent.
In the event that a product needs to
be returned to us for repair, replacement
or full refund under the manufacturers
warranty it should be posted by recorded

Under guarantee service work on Plasma,
LCD or Projection Televisions is usually
carried out by the manufacturers appointed
service agent either in the customer‚s
house or at your local service centre.
The above guarantee does not cover against
physical damage, damage caused by fire,
liquid immersion or spillage. All refunds
will be made within 30 days of us agreeing
to do so.
All purchases are guaranteed for a
period of 12 months, unless stated,
from date of delivery. For your peace
of mind, we offer good value extended
warranties from the Radio, Electrical
and Television Retailers' Association
(RETRA) for a total of up to five years
cover. For additional details of charges
and terms and conditions, please contact
the showroom.
Complaints Procedure
We are human and we do, although unintentionally,
occasionally make mistakes. In the unlikely
event that we fail to give you the customer
service you expect, or if you have a
complaint or comments about any aspect
of our service or Internet site, please
do not hesitate to contact us. Please

Cancellation
Should you wish to cancel your order
please notify us immediately, followed
by written confirmation. Any goods supplied
by us must be returned to:

This will be at your own expense and
within the seven days of our delivery
to you. Provided the goods and packaging
are returned in their original undamaged
condition along with all the accessories
and original undamaged packaging you
will receive a full refund within 30
days of giving us your notice to cancel.
If you ask us to SPECIAL ORDER products
for you we will be unable to take these
goods back if you change your mind after
receiving them from us. If you cancel
a SPECIAL ORDER before it is received
by you we will charge you for any reasonable
costs we have incurred. If we have incurred
no charges we will make no charges.
